TERRY HUTCHENS
Terry Lane Hutchens, 70, of Warrens, WI, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, surrounded by his family. Terry was stricken by Lewy Body Dementia for a few years before losing his battle with dementia. He was born Aug. 26, 1952, to Bernard and Gladys Hutchens.
Terry loved the outdoors; he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and snowmobiling. Terry was a kind and loving person who enjoyed his family and friends.
Over the years, Terry was a heavy equipment operator. Early on, he worked for the mine in Black River Falls and for the Ho-Chunk Nation. Later, he moved on to working a couple different cranberry marshes. His last job was working for Smart Sand company near Wyeville, where he would eventually retire.
He is survived by his soulmate, Sheila Van Voorhees of 27 years; his two daughters, Tamra (Jeremy) Hart of Hixton and Angela (David) Bunders of Sparta; his mother, Gladys Hutchens; his siblings, Ronald (Jane) Hutchens, Kevin (Irene) Hutchens, Charles (Sue) Hutchens, Mark (Susan) Hutchens, Kym (Jim) Wilbur and Brian (Christine) Hutchens; his grandchildren, Chelsie (Justin) Gruel, Maggie Soppa, Zack Hart, Dawson Hart, Mira, Amy Jeter, Kiera and Bently Hart; and many nieces and nephews.
He is further survived by his extended family, Jesse, Bailey and Presley Van Voorhees of Onalaska and Justin, Lisa, and Landon Wisner of Necedah.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Hutchens, and brother, Daniel Hutchens of Black River Falls.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Buswell Funeral Home, 106 S. 2nd Street, Black River Falls, WI 54615. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls. Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
