THEODORE RUSSELL COPLIEN SR.

     Theodore Russell Coplien Sr., 78, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was born July 3, 1946, in Monroe, WI, to Russell and Carol (Gempler) Coplien.

     Ted graduated from Edgerton High School in 1964 and then served in the United States Navy and was based in Barstow California until 1970.

     Though originally from Edgerton WI, he moved to the Black River Falls, WI area around 1982. 

     Ted truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, loving his family and friends. Ted was an avid sportsman. He loved racing cars, dirt bikes, hunting, fishing and playing cards at deer camp.

     Ted married Lynn (Simplot) Coplien Aug. 27, 1994.

Ted is survived by his wife, Lynn, of Black River Falls WI; his children, Teri Lynn Coplien of Lafayette, IN, Angela Lynette Coplien of Fort Myers, FL, Theodore Russell Coplien Jr (Jamie) of Reedsburg, WI, and Jerad Olver (Jessica) of Merrillan WI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas, Carter, Tori, Mason, Trista, Tara, Chop, Tani, Jordyn and Jada; great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Evelyn, Tate and Eliana; sisters Vicki Olmstead-Watson of Texas, sister Debbie (Coplien) Marsden of Edgerton, WI; his brother, William Coplien of Black River Falls, WI; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog Baxter. 

     Ted is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. 

     A celebration of life will be planned for later this summer.
