Vione Shelia Brauner 

Vione Shelia Brauner died June 29, 2026 at the age of 91. Vione Was born in Black River Falls May 2, 1935.

She is survived by her three sons, David of Broadhead, WI., Daniel of Black River Falls, WI., and Douglas of Madison, WI.  Vione is also survived by her brother, Virgil Anderson, and a sister, Sharon Johnson, both of Black River Falls.

Vione has eight grandchildren and 10 great-grand children, (one deceased).  

Vione is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Brauner Jr.; her father, Oscar Anderson; and her mother, Edna Anderson; as well as her great-grandson, Ryland Brauner, as well as her parents-in-law, Edward Brauner Sr. and Emily Brauner. 

Vione graduated from the Black River Falls High School in 1953.   Shortly afterwards, she was married to Edward J. Brauner Jr. at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church.  Vione and Edward lived in Waupaca, WI, West Bend. WI, and Spring Green, WI, before moving back to Black River Falls in 1981. They remained married for 71 years until the death of Edward on Oct. 9, 2024.

Vione enjoyed playing card games, watching birds, reading and tending to her flower-bed and various plants as well as watching mystery movies on TV.  

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with the service to follow.  A luncheon will be provided.
